The Magnolia Education Foundation offers scholarships through the Coach Morris Endowment to current full-time Magnolia ISD employees who are obtaining an Alternative Teacher Certification and to paraprofessionals who are working towards becoming teachers. In November 2023, the Foundation opened scholarship applications to teachers who are earning their master’s degrees to further their career in public education.

The Alternative Certification Program Scholarship supports full-time Magnolia ISD employees who are working toward becoming certified teachers through an approved alternative certification program. Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, be employed full-time by Magnolia ISD, and commit to two years of employment with the district. Recipients must also provide proof of enrollment in an Alternative Certification Program within six weeks of receiving scholarship funds. This scholarship helps current employees take the next step into the classroom while continuing to serve Magnolia ISD students.
The Para to Professional Scholarship is designed for current Magnolia ISD employees who are working toward becoming Texas certified teachers. Applicants must have completed at least 30 college credit hours, be enrolled in an accredited college or university, maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5, and intend to graduate as a Texas certified teacher. Recipients must also commit to two years of employment with Magnolia ISD. This scholarship helps paraprofessionals continue their education and grow into teaching roles within the district.
The Master’s Degree Scholarship supports Magnolia ISD employees who are pursuing a master’s degree to advance their career in public education. Applicants must currently be employed by Magnolia ISD, be enrolled in an accredited college or university, have completed at least six credit hours in a master’s degree program, and maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5. Recipients must also commit to remaining employed with Magnolia ISD for at least two years after completing their degree. Opened in November 2023, this scholarship reflects the Magnolia Education Foundation’s commitment to investing in educators who are continuing to grow professionally and lead within the district.
